Abundant Life Lutheran Church
Where ALL are Welcome
As people of God, we are called to share the good news of Jesus Christ so that all may come to know God’s love, and to experience the abundant life God gives.
We are a vibrant, multi-generational community of faith worshiping in East St. Paul, Manitoba. When we say ALL are welcome here we mean it! People of all ages, abilities, sexual orientations, gender expressions, and ethnicities are welcome to worship with us and participate fully in our congregation. God’s love is for all people, and we strive to live that out in everything we do.
Worship at Abundant Life is vibrant. We love singing – everything from well-loved hymns to contemplative songs and contemporary praise and worship. We celebrate our young people! Once a month, our Sunday morning service is a Family Centred Worship, where we sing camp songs, do all the actions, and the Children’s Message is the sermon. And our youth and young adults have a place to connect and grow in SLAW – the youth ministry we share with Sherwood Park Lutheran Church and St. Luke’s Zion Lutheran Church.
Abundant Life began as a mission congregation in the East St. Paul area in 1998, with the support of Grace Lutheran Church and Sherwood Park Lutheran Church. We called Pastor Bob Jacob as our mission developer, and began worshipping in the gym at Robert Andrews School in Bird’s Hill in the fall of 1999. We were a new congregation with energy, enthusiasm, and a desire to try new things and share God’s love with our community. In 2006 we completed work on our new building at 3486 Raleigh Street, on land generously donated by Julius and Gerda Fahr. That same year, Pastor Bob retired, and we called Pastor Annemarie MacIntosh as our new pastor. In 2019, after 13 years of service, Pastor Annemarie retired, and we - along with our Shared Ministry partners, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church – called Pastor Jeremy Langner as our new Shared Ministry Pastor.
Join us for worship this Sunday at 9:45 am.
